Electric cooperative funds Hettinger vet clinic

Slope Electric Cooperative loaned $2 million to West River Veterinary Clinic to construct a new veterinary clinic in Hettinger.

The loan is part of a partnership between electric cooperatives and the U.S. Department of Agriculture for loans for rural businesses. USDA provides zero-interest loans to local utilities and microenterprise development organizations to relend to local businesses.
