About the City of Milwaukee, Wisconsin

• Outpost Natural Foods is the conference host. 
• Visit Milwaukee offers lots of information about the community, including alternative accomodations.  
• Milwaukee Magazine is a favorite place to find insights into Milwaukee.
• There are many good places to eat within walking distance of the Intercontinenal Milwaukee (but remember that lunches are catered by the hotel during the conference). Check back for a list of restaurants.

Scholarships
The scholarship application process is now closed.  This was another big year for applications and unfortunately we weren't able to provide a scholarship to all applicants.  We'll continue to search for additional sources of scholarship funds in 2019.  Thanks to our scholarship sponsors: Food Co-op Initiative (FCI), the Ralph K Morris Foundation and the Howard Bowers Fund.  

Accommodations
We are currently negotiating the hotel contract for Up & Coming 2019. Please check back frequently for updates.

• If you are traveling by air you will fly into the General Mitchell International Airport in Milwaukee.

• There are a number of ground transportation options available from the airport - rental cars, taxis, Uber and Lyft, shuttle service and public transportation
