“2B or Not 2B? How to evaluate Feasibility” – Building Board consensus on your project status and conveying the message to your owners.

This session, will focus on:

  • The challenges faced in the transition from Stage 2A to 2B
  • How we used an assessment created by FCI for another co-op in our region as a template for our own assessment to identify our start up’s strengths and weaknesses in all of the work that should be accomplished in the Feasibility Stage of the 4 Cornerstones in 3 Stages development model (see our attached Feasibility Assessment)
  • How we generated full Board participation and achieved Board consensus on the feasibility assessment
  • What decisions we made as a result of undertaking the feasibility assessment
  • How we conveyed the message to our owners

While acknowledging the difficulty of simultaneously proving local market demand, financial feasibility, organizational capacity, and site suitability, Siobain will provide a guide for other Boards to use to help them identify their strengths and weaknesses, take action based on their assessment, and convey an honest and consistent message about the co-op’s status to their owners.

Many Thanks to our Sponsors
