Growing Co-op, Growing a Community

Session date/time:
Fri, 3/1 -
3:45pm to 5:00pm

Every community has its own story, opportunities and challenges when organizing a food co-op. This is no exception in communities of color that have suffered the most from disinvestment and extractive economic practices. Listen to lessons learned by organizers in Flint, Michigan and Dorchester, Massachusetts as they grew co-op membership in their respective cities.  Edgar and Darnell will share with you what worked and what didn't work to help you develop a plan for robust co-op ownership growth in your community.
